I just received a notice from Texas Photographic Society, listing the opening of my Seton Cove show this Friday, May 29th, in their web site listing of National Exhibitions. Here’s the link:

So thanks to Amber Gibson at TPS, the show has some good publicity.

Seton Cove Show Opening, May 29th

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Invitations are out and the wine is soon to be purchased for my upcoming opening at Seton Cove, May 29th. The opening celebration will be from 5:30 to 7:30 on Friday night, featuring photographs from Big Bend. The two main themes of the show are the light transitions at Santa Elena Canyon over a 24 hour time and the lava and ash metaphors at Cerro Castellan. These both show the earth in its true elemental forms at Big Bend. Many of the Santa Elena images are in the form of diptychs and triptychs, which contrast important transitions during the earth’s rotation.

Stop by and see the work at Seton Cove, at the split of 35th and 38th Streets in central Austin. More information on Seton Cove can be found on their web site at www.setoncove.net.
