Photos here picture the beginning stages of the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo. At the headwaters west of Creede, Colorado, the river is prime trout fishing territory. Soon it is dammed and diverted for irrigation in the San Luis Valley before heading south into New Mexico. This gallery highlights the Rio Grande's origins in Colorado.
